Ripley, WV Convention & Visitors Bureau

Welcome to the Ripley Convention & Visitors Bureau

Our community is situated along Interstate 77 in West Virginia between Charleston and Parkersburg.

The town was founded in 1832 as the centrally located seat of government for the newly organized Jackson County. It is named for Harry Ripley, a young circuit riding minister who tragically died shortly before his wedding day.

Ripley features the convenience of lodging, dining and refueling options adjacent to I-77 coupled with small town charm.

The community is the home of festive events such as “The USA’s Largest Small Town Independence Day Celebration” and the Mountain State Art & Craft Fair. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the many nearby camping, fishing and hunting opportunities.

The Ripley CVB was formed in 2014. The office is situated at 107 ½  Main Street West. We welcome your visit!

The non-profit organization is governed by a volunteer board of directors. The group is comprised of President Meghan Parsons, Vice President Kerry Casto, Treasurer Larry Chancey, Secretary Kelley Spencer Adcock, Carolyn Waybright, Teresa Miller, Dick Waybright, Rev. Steve Ford, Holli Vanater, Suzette Lowe, Dallas Skeen, and Mayor Carolyn Rader.

Director Brenda Mobley may be contacted at 304-532-0945 or by email at Director@RipleyCVB.com.

We trust you will enjoy your visit to Ripley.
